Project Superintendent (posted 17 May 2016)

Job Description: seeking a qualified individual to provide overall onsite management of a construction project and to serve as the primary field contact regarding the project, with responsibility for planning, supervising and monitoring all aspects of construction activities from pre-construction through post-construction including:

  • Working closely with the Project Manager and / or the Project Engineer
  • Supervising the project jobsite
  • Communications with the Owner, Architect/Engineer, Contractors, and Suppliers
  • Coordinating the work of Trade Contractors and expediting material deliveries
  • Monitoring and controlling job costs and schedule
  • Ensuring on-site quality control
  • Implementing shop drawings and product data submittals into the on-site operations
  • Implementing and enforcing CM Contracting’s Company Safety Program and safety regulations
  • Driving project completion within stated time, cost and quality requirements

Required Skills

  • Prior construction experience including at least five years as a Project Superintendent
  • Applicable training or college degree in construction related field desired
  • Technical knowledge of construction materials, methods, and practices
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project)
  • This position will include some travel

Job Description: seeking qualified carpenters to perform work in accordance with blueprints and building plans. Qualified candidates should be able to perform many different tasks to include:

  • Follow blueprints and building plans
  • Install structures and fixtures [e.g., windows and molding, casework]
  • Construct building frameworks, including wall studs, floor joists, and doorframes
  • The applicant should be skilled in residential/commercial/and institutional work

Required Skills 

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Prior construction experience including at least five years as a carpenter
  • Detail oriented; Math skills, Problem-solving skills, Physical stamina and Physical strength
  • Applicable licenses, safety and first-aid certifications
  • This position will include some travel
